Happy Summer Solstice!

All I have been doing for the past 23 years is working, so I'm not going to update you on that...the excitement would kill you.

I did have this weekend off though! I was supposed to go visit friends, but I didn't have any money for gas because I have other things to pay for like un tatuaje and an apartment.  Today was still a wonderful day regardless!  Let's recap:

I slept in this morning until 11 or so and it was glorious! The last time that happened was about 3 weeks ago.  After waking, showering, and dressing I drove over to my grandma's house and spent some time with the familia by the pool.  We discussed many things such as child behavior, the economy, foreign languages, photography, and much more!  At 4:40 I left to pick up Kiah and we traveled into the metropolis for the Multicultural Festival! On the drive I showed her where my friend Ferns lives and we talked about my other best friend Frachel. haha

Once we arrived at the festival I decided to use the restroom before making and accident! I used the portapotty, ew, and Kiah waited outside for all kinds of rapers to pick her up! We saw lots of great merchandise! There were Panda ponchos, beads, shawls, crystals, herbs, bumper stickers, skulls, giraffes, African masks, Peruvian dolls, Clan banners, and so much more! It was an intensely cultural experience!  We saw Kiah's chemistry teacher and she mixed a tea herbs in bag for us! It was only a dollar, and it smells like heaven! Then this man at another tent thought we were carrying around a half of a bag of marijuana!!!  I bought a sweet notebook and then we left!

However, before we left the park completely we stopped by a yard sale across the street where I bought a nice wind breaker and Kiah bought the LFO cd!* Naturally we listened to it when we got in the car.

At this point we were about ready to eat anything in sight because we were so hungry!  Discussion of several dining locations we finally decided on Sonic! "SOOONNNNICC!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!" hahaha We ordered! The lady brought us our food on roller skates! I forgot to tip her! All was well! Oh we made a couple of sonic commercials too.

After we ate we went to Gabriel Brothers and Kiah helped me from making terrible life decisions! I got some nice shirts and then we did the Aunt Jackie. Unfortunately the storm of the century was on the horizon, so it was a race against time to get home!  I got Kiah home and started heading home myself before the skies opened up.  Once I got home I sat on my porch and watched one of the most awesome displays of nature known to man.  That's pretty much how my first day of summer ended.

Enjoy the second please!

*Note: I say the LFO cd because I think they only made one....hahahahahaha

What's the best thing about twenty nine year olds?

31st.May.08 | 20:55:00
location: My Front Porch
mood: happy happy
music: Sugar Free - Mighty Mighty Bosstones

So I'm sitting outside on my porch right now enjoying a not so mid-summer's night, and it's Saturday night.  Some people seem to think that you're a loser if you don't go out and do something on Saturday night...but that's false.  I mean look at me...I'm the coolest kid around! hahaha

This week has been pretty intense (like camping!).  It started with a little celebration on Sunday night which involved several of my classmates! That was a really nice reunion! Then I found out that night that mi madre scored a kidney transplant! So she has working kidneys now! I'm so happy for her! The week came and went as such:

Memorial Day
Tuesday
Work
Pre-hump day party
Wednesday
Hump Day
Work
Thursday
Work
Friday
Yard sale party!

So last night after the yard sale I decided to meet my greatrents for some Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich! (the little fast food I will eat) That was pretty delightful, then I came back to the house took a shower and then went to Marietta. I had to go to Wal*Mart

Please excuse this interruption from your regularly scheduled program - I have to inform you of the massive-o bug flying about my front porch. Its very scary eh! That is all, thank you and please enjoy the rest of the broadcast.

Ok so I had to go to Wal*Mart to get stuff for my bike and some polaroid film. After that I went to Justin's where Lacey, Corey, Justin and Josh were hanging out.  Over the course of the night Sam, Ashley, Beth, Anthony, Skinner, Todd haha, Jesse, Tyler, and Josh T came and went! What an extravaganza!! Then Tyler, Ashley and I went back to Sam's apt. and crashed like planes.

This morning, Josh, Corey, and Sam woke everyone up way too early and we just talked for a little while and then went back to sleep for another hour or so. After some nice powernaps, Tyler and I woke up and got ready, I took the coldest shower of my life because Sam doesn't have hot water yet. Tyler was too afraid! Hahaha!  Then Tyler and I went to Bob Evans for the Calculus Breakfast. (My calc class always plans breakfasts to make up for our year of first period upper level math...haha let it also be known that Tyler was never in any calculus class haha). So we hang out at Bob Evans for a little while with Kim, Mark, and Peggy! What people!! hahaha  We tricked them all so well! Well Kim (the hostess and creeper extraordinaire haha) was going to take a picture of our group for us, so we told her that she just had to push the button hard and wait for the flash...well it never flashed! So she didn't think that she took any pictures. She went at it for a solid 3 minutes before running to get the help of Peggy, who also tried for several minutes. After everyone gave up on what seemed to be a non-functional camera, we discovered that they actually took like 2340982384203948 pictures hahahahaha! What a prank!!

Oh the rest of my day consisted of work, a Creme Caramel Javakula from Seattle's Best, an awkward underwear purchase at AE, and a pleasant drive home.

After working on my bike for a little while, I ate twice mac 'n cheese and sat on my porch.

That's all.

Mk It's been a pretty eventful weekend so far.

Friday, May 23, 2008

Most of the day was pretty simple. I went to work and all that jazz. Then after work I came home got stuff gathered up and went to Emily's. She was having a bonfire (more like campfire) in celebration of her birthday and graduation! It was a blast! I saw Samalamasoulmate, Beth, Lacey, Rory, Kari, Terry, Billy, Chris, Caroline, Luke, Logan and Anthony! Oh wow what a shindig!

We played some ultimate frisbee until my frisbee got stuck on top of the giant bush in Emily's back yard... SO the only cure was to send a Venderlic after it! He ripped a drain spout off Emily's house and dove into the bush after it. After much shouting and thrashing he got the frisbee and we returned to our game. We lost...but that doesn't really matter.  Wait...yes it does...what failures. I'm killing myself.

Not really.

I never realized what a perfect backyard Emily has!! It's so good for all kinds of fun activities...and she never uses it!!! How outrageous!! Anyway, Emily was successful in compiling a perfect playlist...the only downside was that it put everyone into a romantic mood which left Sam, Lacey, and I out of the picture. So we had a threesome...First we started by dividing the pleasure parts out equally...there were 11 so one person got jipped. Then we just went to it...hahahhahaha! Oh wow. Um after s'mores and romantic moods most of the party left and Emily, Kari and I spooned by the campfire until the playlist ended. It was about 12:30 and the end of a great evening.

Saturday, May 24, 2008

I woke up and went to work really early. It was a beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed driving down to the Metropolis. Work was work...oh except I was really disheartened when I found out that my drawer came up a dollar short. Oops. :-/
Sometimes it is beneficial to know maths.

After work I walked around Borders for a while and waited for Zaccius to get there. We got delicious Iced Coffees and then went to Jo-Ann Fabric. Except the ladies at Jo-Ann's are evil, old women who quilt all day long and are angry at the world for only gifting them with the ability to stitch and bitch......so we had to drink the rest of our drinks in 2 seconds in the car before entering the store.

We didn't find any decent fabric there.....oh except some Fitzsimmons Floral Prints and Lowther Gold Prints. Oh Let me tell you the Maths department in this county knows how to dress!!  We left and went to Marietta in search of some good fabric. On the drive we discussed the sexual habits of Disney characters, particularly villainesses like Maleficent. We determined that she actually transforms into a dragon when she has an orgasm, and this prevents her from faking anything in the sack. Poor Maleficent!

We arrived in Marietta and found some nice cotton material at this fabric shop I didn't know existed and we got the rest of the fabric (a yellow plaid print) at the Jo-Ann's in Marietta. The one where Creeper Extraordinaire works...hahaha what a creeper. (no further comment)

Then we had to go back to Parkersburg because Zach had to go to work. So I bought some stuff at Old Navy and then came home. I cleaned out my car, found a bicycle, and then started eating when my mom called and told me to walk down the street where there was an Alumni party at my neighbors. So I went. I partied with my parents and it was actually really fun! Um That was pretty much the end of the evening. hahaha well morning.

Today, May 25, 2008

Happy Birthday Chris!!!!!

Today is graduation. I made a playlist for the occasion...hahahaha I'm not even graduating. Um I actually should go finish organizing stuff. Have a wonderful Sonntag! Auf wiedersehen!

Dear Diary,

hahahaha jk.

Hmm so last night was pretty eventful. After work I went over to Jake's house and watched him eat half of a HUNGRYMAN XXL!!! WOAH! INTENSE! Um...then we went into the Metropolis, you know the usual.

We began our journey at the mall..with the typical lap around the mall.  I wanted to go into Hollister to see if Zach was working, but I forgot he was on the senior trip. But we did see Courtney, so Jake, Courtney and I discussed the incident that occurred on the senior trip earlier that day...apparently on the bus to Cedar Point some of the seniors were snorting cocaine and packing a bowl and shooting up heroine and participating in solicited sexual intercourse. I swear kids these days!!!! Um yeah...after that Jake and I continued our lap around the mall and then we saw Rachel and Natasha and discussed body piercings with them for quite a while.  After a while they had to go so Jake and I decided to purchase fruit smoothies. I got peach...he got mango strawberry...also known as The Stranglehold....so good you strangle the person next to you.

It wasn't really that good though....so perhaps that's the name of another delicious combo smoothie.

With smoothies in hand we hit up the BK Lounge. Stephany, the cashier, was acting really funny....I don't even know. And she gave Jake approximately 21893213 napkins for one cheeseburger. Yeah.  We ate at a pleasant pace and then decided to got to Wal*Mart in search of terry cloth headbands. We only found lame Wilson ones....so we purchased Squash balls instead.

So it is 9:30 and Jake and I are throwing our squash balls at the wall outside of Sears. We made quite a game of it..and sometimes the plant life wanted to play! Tree was a really good catcher! Then the security guard came out and yelled at us from 30 feet away! He must have thought we were dangerous...you know with the squash balls and all.  So we took our squash game back to town.  We ran wild through the abandoned streets throwing our squash balls at stop lights, alumni signs, mail boxes, and town seals (you know the aquatic mammals.)

Then we waited around for the seniors to get back. While waiting we were interrogated by the police because they thought we were going to vandalize the seniors cars! hahahaha what a joke!!

Then I came home and went to sleep.

Today I worked and wished I was somewhere else.

So I'm terrible at this sort of thing. I thought I could keep up with it...but I guess not. heh
Let's recap:

Friday, May 16, 2008:

Today was pretty normal. I woke up fairly early, packed my stuff for my big weekend in WESTLAKE! Woo! On a whim I decided to get my hair cut. It turned out nicely. Then I went to work. It was a pretty busy day and I spent most of it in the fitting room which is always fun! After work I got in my car and hit the road. I made pretty good time compared to the last time I drove to the lake...um 7 hours in a blizzard - no thanks.

When I arrived I hung out with Mara, Lauren, and Lauren. We baked fields of cookies which Mara so kindly plowed for us. They were approximately the worst cookies I have ever eaten, yet we ate them all!!! Then we laughed for 3 hours about The Punisher, Human Flesh Club Sandwiches, and Ceiling Geckos.

All in all...it was a terrific night!

Saturday, May 17, 2008:

Lauren and I woke up way too early. About 9:00 maybe? Then we layed in bed for another hour, woke up ate cereal, played rock band and then went back to bed. It was a pretty successful day!

No no, Around 2 we decided it would be a good idea to bathe...who does that?!

I got ready for a wild night out on the town!! We took about 12398127391287312893719825 pictures, as always. And they all turned out amazing...as always ;) While the second group of limo riders were waiting at Chris' house we played games like the Green Glass Door, Ups and Downs, and Boy Names.  Um all classics! Then when the limo arrived we squeezed in and rolled out. On the way we listened to some great tunes by Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis, M.I.A., Outkast, and more!!!

The prom was pretty amazing...I mean if your into ghetto booty dance songs in holocaust conditions. They did play Sandstorm, and I suffered from a mild V-Tach.  After the prom we fit 14 people into a six person limosine. That was pretty much the highlight of the night!! hahaha

Kristen, Shaka, Ryanna and I went back to Kristen's house and changed for After-prom then left to catch the bus. After-prom was at this place called Swings n' Things. It was pretty sweet, we played extreme paintball for two rounds then threw the rest of them at people and cars...whoops. We won about a thousand dinosaurs out of this machine, and Kristen and I devised a new way of playing Skee-ball!  All in all, After-prom was pretty awesome.

The after-after-prom party was held at Chris' house! We arrived at like 5:00 in the morning or something like that, after some discussion of after-prom and avoiding bjorn, we watched the sun come up...sort of. Then we all passed out in the Library where Alyssa, Marco, and Juli were already asleep!

Sunday, May 18, 2008:

We woke up at 12 the next day despite Juli's efforts to wake us up at 11:30, hahaha. We ate delicious donuts from Dunkin' Donuts and watched the Truman Show! Woo!

The Chris took me back to Lauren's after the movie and I met Lauren and Mara who were on their way to the beach. When we got to the beach we took some amazing pictures for Maxim and Mermaid magazines.  The photoshoot was not appreciated by the passing highschoolers....but what do they know...

After the beach we went to Panera for dinner. Mara talked me into the Frenchonionsoupinasourdoughbowl. It was so good!! mmm thanks so much Mara! Then we went to Cafe Ah-Roma for dessert. Mmm whatever it was I had was delicious! Then we went back to Mara's house and watched the making of a erotica war movie, directed by Rising American Porn Director, Oskars. hahahah How interesting. Then we went in the hot tub and took some more Maxim photos. After that we ate delicious ice cream and watched reality television.  Finally Mara took Lauren and I home in her mom's awesome BMW.

Oh I can't forget! We spoke backwards and in Latvian all day. It was pretty nice.

Monday, May 19, 2008:

Lauren and I woke up early because she had to go to work and I had to come home. Sad Day. It was a good day for a drive though!! I listened to a lot of good music and thought about all the fun stuff I wanted to do when I got home....-_-....

Tuesday, May 20, 2008:

Woke up. Went to work. Came Home.

Then Emily showed up and we ate some dinner and watched Jeopardy! Then we wanted to get some cookies from Subway and started walking down the street. About halfway down the street we changed our minds and decided we'd get ice cream from the Jug. But first we had to find Judy so she could sign some papers. When we arrived at Judy's house, Emily made me hide in the car while she spent an hour in the house. Then I went inside and watched Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Randy and pet his dog about 3424234234234 times.

Once Emily was finished we went to The Jug and got ice cream with candy eyes...mmm! But we had to multitask and go shopping for groceries as well. It was quite a mission. We entered together at the fruit and picked out a lovely pear. Then we separated; she got crackers while I tackled cereal and granola bars! I snatched the perfect selection of each. She was pleased as punch.

On the way home Emily expressed her extreme enthusiasm for Judy. hahaha and we laughed for about 32 years. Finally she dropped me off and I wished her well on her trip to Cedar Point the following day.

Then I went to sleep. It turned into quite a nice day, and I'm glad I could make Emily's day better 12x!! :)

Wednesday, May 21, 2008:

A lot of work today. Boring. I'm going to Jak's after work. Who knows what crazy shenanigans will occur.

If you read all of this....congratulations, you wasted one year of your life :]

Can You Hear the Thunder in the Valley?

12th.May.08 | 00:37:00
mood: contemplative contemplative

Do you know the effect that thunder has on the heart?  Sitting on the porch you see the flash of lightning, and you know the thunder is sure to follow.  So certain -- it surprises you every time. The air booms with such grand resonance.  The sound rattles life around you and echoes deeply in your heart.  You feel the thunder; you feel the summer storm.  I've greatly missed this feeling.

It's time for summer again.

Because You Give Me Technicolor Dreams

16th.March.08 | 14:17:00

mood: contemplative contemplative
music: Sous Le Ciel De Paris - Edith Piaf

MAGNUM / Nicolas Tikhomiroff, 1961

My life has been filled with such strange coincidences lately.  I just got back to my room from driving around and my screen saver was running and there was music playing.  First you must understand that my screen saver is a slide show of different pictures that I find incredibly fascinating.  The picture I saw when I walked in was this picture of Edith Piaf.  Now, the song that was playing was Edith Piaf's "Sous Le Ciel De Paris."  I would like to take this time to say my playlist is completely randomized.  All of this is entirely beside the point, and now on with the show!

I had a crazy dream last night that I need to share with all of you.

The dream began in a small well-lit room with one photograph framed on the wall.  The photograph was taken by someone whom I have never met and as such will remain nameless for this description.  As I was standing admiring the photograph, Lauren's boyfriend, Max, walks in and starts chatting with me.  We talk for a little while until I tell him that I have to have the photograph.  He tells me that I can have it on one condition: I have to retrieve a plant that grows in Hell (Hell of the Metropark railroad bridges).  I agree on these terms and set off on my journey.

As I make my way into Hell I see Lauren and Mara laughing and enjoying a game of catch.  I share my quest with them, they point me towards the plant, and resume having a grand ole time.  I take hold of the plant at its base and begin to pull, but as in many cartoons, the plant is never-ending.  I just keep pulling more and more plant out of the earth until I'm so exhausted I just collapse.

I'm sitting on the ground in utter disappointment at my inability to attain this plant when two ropes fall from the outside upper edge. Two people begin sliding down the ropes.  They shout hello to me, and it is then that I realize the people are Kristen and Chris! They ask me if I need help getting the plant and I explain my situation.  Now, instead of sliding down the rest of the ropes, they pull out a pair of scissors apiece, cut the ropes, and fall gently onto the ground.  We quickly set to work trying to unearth the plant. I pulled and Chris and Kristen used their scissors to cut through the stalk.  As all of this is happening Lauren and Mara are still in the background enjoying their game of catch.  After a while, the plant gives way.  I thank Kristen and Chris for their assistance and make my way back to claim the amazing photograph. The End.

How strange?

I had another dream about Emily, but it was entirely in French and I didn't understand any of it.  It probably wasn't actually French, but you know in dreams anything can be whatever you associate it to be.

Overall I had a good weekend of being young and irresponsible, but now I have papers to finish.  Lame.

Ciao!

MAGNUM / Leonard Freed, 1965

I miss summer so much. I saw this photograph and immediately my heart lept into my throat. I love it.

The past few days here at college have been incredbily pleasant. It's perfect weather for sandals and a light jacket - a Facebook jacket. It has caused me to neglect my academic responsibilties lately, but I think I'm back on track.

I am currently writing a paper on sex in advertising. I feel like a hypocrite for it because I do really enjoy commercials such as these.

I still need to decide on a topic for my research paper.

I am analyzing and performing a poem for my theater class; the poem is titled "Life is but a Dream".

That might be about it in terms of academics. BUT! I am changing my major. I'm going to double up with Spanish and Russian and minor in International Business. After English 201 and 112 I am over English. Now despite the fact that these majors may not provide me with the greatest job security, I don't care. I came to college to learn not because I want a better job. I don't want a job at all. Let's never grow up ok?

Shoot I have to go to English.

Nos vemos!

They Waited To Enter But The Service Had Been Cancelled

11th.March.08 | 09:30:00
location: College
mood: curious curious
music: Non-Photo Blue - Pinback

Okokokaaay. I'm tired of college already. I have so much work to finish today, so what do I do? That's right, update my Livejournal.

Last night Lauren, Sarah, and I drove to Michigan.  Yeah I'm not sure why, but the journey was a good one nonetheless.  We stopped in this village called Dundee and somehow ended up on the back roads.  Not only were they covered in slush and ice, but they were terrifying.  We drove past a house that had Gargoyles in its front yard! Qué raro! There was also a creepy old house where a witch lived.  After almost driving into a frightening, bottomless ditch we decided to turn around and head home.  Driving and listening to music, we reminisced about things we did last semester.  Like the first time we drove to Michigan and went to Waffle House after and the time Kristen, Mara, and Max came to visit.  Incidentally that experience also involved a trip to the Waffle House. It seemed a little strange that those things hadn't even happened a year ago.  So here is a word of advice - Whenever you have time just sit and think of some good memories. Don't dwell on them! Just remember them; there is a nice warm feeling that bubbles up inside :)

I really cannot wait for summer.  Spring break was fantastic, and the little bit of warmth it provided has got me jonesin' for more.

Definitely...

...Happy Johnny Appleseed Day...

I Need Five One Dollar Bills

10th.March.08 | 17:25:00
location: College
mood: chipper chipper
music: Subterranean Homesick Blues - Bob Dylan

Let me start by saying, Happy Harriet Tubman Day!

Okay, so spring break is over. Yes, that's kind of lame, but let me tell you that it was such a great time! So to recap:

Friday!
I woke up, got my crap together and left That Town. Yes, It might have been one of the stupidest things I have ever done since the storm of the century was sweeping across Ohio.  On my journey towards Cleveland I passed approximately 10 incidents in which cars had slid off the road. Scary! But I made it to Westlake without a scratch.

Once I got there I hung out with Lauren, Chris, Kristen, Marco, and Jade at Lauren's place. We ate tacos and watched Youtube videos, oh. Then we went to Chris' place where we played charades. ROSAPARKSVCRSALTARCANADABADPRETZELCHEXMIX. Then we talked, played Big Booty, and watched Arrested Development.  All in all it was a good evening.

Saturday!

Lauren and I woke up to about 10,000 feet of snow, which was slightly dismaying.  But after a shower, Reese's Puffs, and Guitar Hero Chris and Kristen picked us up and we went back to Chris' house again. The plan was to make an extreme snow fort, but the snow was a little lame. Instead we frolicked, I got buried, and knocked several small avalanches off the roof of the house.  Spaghetti, Family Guy, About a Boy, The Sarah Silverman Show filled the rest of the evening and ultimately this was the greatest night of my entire break.

Sunday!
The final day of spring break. It was like that Last Day of Summer episode of Pete and Pete - depressing. Lauren, Kristen, and I hung out all day. First at Kristen's place, then at Max's place, then at Chipotle, finally at Lauren's.  After doing laundry, hanging with Chris and Marco via Ichat, and some hacer amor, Lauren and I finally needed to head back to BG.

When we got to BG we thought we forgot my car keys at Lauren's and almost came back, oh. Haha

That leads me to...

Monday!
I didn't complete a lot of homework. I got a B on my first English Paper. I did sort of bad on my poetry workshop. Nothing really eventful happened.

This was basically the same as Lauren's last update, oh.
The end.

How long has it been now? 3? 4 years?

6th.March.08 | 23:53:00

music: How It Ends - DeVotchKa

Ok, I was watching TV today, and this commercial comes on talking about Love, Hope, Peace, and all that jazz.  Then it says, "And now, the Bible as you've never seen it before...." Sadly the first thing that comes to my mind is "...THE BIBLE ON ICE!"  Now despite the fact that this is completely absurd, I'm quite certain I would like to see a spectacle like this.  Can you imagine, Jesus skating around with a cross on his back?

But that would just go to prove my belief that organized religion is too commercial.  There are so many people out there who buy those RAPTURE bumper stickers and Jesus bobble heads; it makes me sick.  They advertise the fact that they are Christians, but when it actually comes down to being a decent human being they fall terribly short.  Don't get me wrong, there are good Christians out there; they are just hard to find.  It's disgusting the number of people who attend church every Sunday but still make extreme judgments about the most insignificant things.  These people claim to understand the three core values of MOST world religions - love, hope, and peace.  Yet they make personal wars of hate against people who differ in beliefs, sexuality, or even social class!

This is why I don't buy into organized religion.  I'm completely confident and content with my faith as an individual, not a member of a hypocritical church.  I really just don't understand it.  I guess I'll get off my soapbox now.

I saw Jak today.  I missed him a lot.  I think he was a tad upset because I didn't call him immediately when I arrived, but I was a little hesitant after things that happened before.  He doesn't know that I feel this way, but there were a few times before when he blew me off or invited several people with whom I am not on the friendliest of terms.  Naturally this stayed me from calling him immediately, not to mention I didn't have his cell phone number.  However I'm quite glad that we spent time together this evening.  I don't really want to lose him like I seem to have lost others.  Friendship is too valuable.  There, I suppose that is the pith of all of this.

And this has been another day at the deli.

Our Endless Numbered Days

5th.March.08 | 22:55:00

mood: blank blank
music: Each Coming Night - Iron and Wine

I decided to look through the house today during the infinite boredom that is This Town.  The search proved to be fruitful; I found a couple of notes from old girlfriends and my old piano lessons book.  That was pretty fun!  I wish I didn't stop taking piano lessons.

Por lo visto, asi es la vida.

For some reason, I put myself into situations that are similar to situations that have failed before and expect different results. I know this all sounds really vague, but I don't much feel like going into detail.  Let me just ask you, not that you is anyone more than Lauren, but: How many mistakes does it take to get something right? I know, you'll say it varies. Touch a hot stove once, that's probably all you'll need to know not to do it again.  But with feelings and emotions, how many more times do I trick myself into thinking I know it all, only to find myself in the same ole spot.  No worries however, everything is still just fine because I have my life, my friends, and my family! Hooray!

Change of subject once again:

I have been taking several trips down memory lane recently -- Pete and Pete, Xanga, Piano Lessons.  And I've realized how much life has changed since back then. Now I don't want to get all profound on your asses, but seriously.  Friendships have changed so much in the past few years, some for worse, some for better.  I don't know...this post is beginning to annoy me a little. I think I'm going to end it.

Ok, enough politics.

Last night Emilia and I went to Hong Kong...yes, the Chinese city. Then we made an Origami giraffe and a cicada. They were pretty much the best pieces of art since the Sistine Chapel.  I showed her some great videos on Youtube.com that I am now going to link to here, because they need to be shared with the world. (Not that the World reads my blogs...)

Antarctica

So it is spring break in early March. I'm not quite sure how that works, but I'll take it.

I don't exactly know what I will use this LiveJournal for, but I suppose that will be revealed later.  Random Thoughts? Daily Logs? It's hard to say. Perhaps a year long project? Can I make it everyday from here on out?

Day 1!
One year older.

Day 2!

Relationships are going downhill?  We drove to the Lake.

Day 3!

The Metroparks and Surprise Parties.  I met several new people. There was a Chris and an Alex and a Sam and a Jenn and an Alexis and an Alyssa and a Frankie and a Me...oh.

Day 4!
Right now, I'm sitting in That Town.  I've just begun doing laundry and watching The Adventures of Pete and Pete.  You know the show with the red-head brothers.  It's probably one of the greatest shows in the world.  I've watched most of the first season, episodes 1-6: "King of the Road," "Day of the Dot," "The Nightcrawlers," "Range Boy," "Tool and Die," and "Don't Tread on Pete."

I need a shower.

Ciao.
